ACCESS CONTROL
Managing People At Point of Access

Access control is defined by the US military as “the selective restriction of access to a place, or other resource.”
A breach in security is a real risk to business, which is why our Access Control solutions all utilise some form of proof of identity. It follows therefore, that for optimal performance, identification by a personal form of bio-metric feature is best, whether it is by fingerprint, hand scanning, retina scanning, or a facial detection.
In order to gain access to your premises a person needs to provide a proof of identity through a terminal which will check against a valid list of names stored on the controller, and if valid the door will be released. It will then auto re-lock after a set interval.
All employees need access to the premises, but some may be restricted to specific areas within the building, so that restrictions may be applied at internal doors.
The identity of everyone requiring access to a particular resource will be held in the system database. Access terminals combined with door controllers and electric locks form a physical barrier.
Our preferred method is a stand-alone system independent of Time Management which eliminates a number of limitations.
